The Social Programme section presents the cultural and leisure activities organized alongside the FIEPS 2026 Congress. Participants will find a detailed guide and timeline of visits to key attractions in Elbasan and Tirana, including historical sites, museums, and cultural landmarks.

The section provides information about meeting points, schedules, and guided tours, offering delegates a chance to discover Albania’s rich heritage, hospitality, and vibrant atmosphere while networking in an informal and enjoyable setting.

The Projects Session is a dynamic part of the FIEPS Conference designed to showcase innovative research, European initiatives, and international collaborations in the fields of physical education, sport, health, and well-being.

This session provides a platform for universities, research centers, NGOs, and partner organizations to present their ongoing and completed projects, share outcomes, exchange methodologies, and explore opportunities for future cooperation. It serves as a hub for knowledge transfer, dissemination, and networking between academia and practice.

Key projects featured in this session include examples of EU-funded initiatives such as the USSI – Universal Sport for Social Inclusion project and the i4EUFITMOS – Digital Fitness Monitoring System project, among others. Presentations and panel discussions will highlight:

  • Innovative approaches to physical activity promotion and inclusion through sport;
  • New models of non-formal and lifelong learning in sport and health education;
  • Evidence-based results supporting policy development and local implementation;
  • Cross-sector cooperation between academia, municipalities, and NGOs.

Through the Projects Session, the conference aims to bridge research and real-world practice, offering participants a space to disseminate results, strengthen partnerships, and initiate new proposals for international collaboration.

The FIEPS New Leaders (FNL) Programme is an international initiative of the Fédération Internationale d'Éducation Physique et Sportive (FIEPS) that aims to empower young scholars and professionals in the field of physical education, sport, recreation, and health promotion.

Launched in 2015, the FNL Programme provides a platform for emerging researchers to present their work, share innovative ideas, and engage with the global scientific community during FIEPS Congresses and Conferences. Selected participants take part in a dedicated “New Leaders Session”, which fosters dialogue, networking, and collaboration among future leaders in sport and education.

Through the FNL Programme, FIEPS seeks to:

  • Encourage young professionals to contribute actively to the international development of physical education and sport sciences.
  • Promote leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across countries and institutions.
  • Strengthen the bridge between research, practice, and policy in sport and physical education.

Participation in the programme is open to early-career academics, doctoral students, and young professionals nominated by FIEPS National Delegates or partner institutions. The initiative represents a key step in developing the next generation of leaders committed to advancing physical education, health, and well-being worldwide.
